There is always a selection of club boats available to suit different shapes and sizes of paddler and members can bring their own equipment too provided it is washed beforehand! It is a great opportunity to try out a range of boats for different disciplines of paddlesport before buying your own.
We have active Slalom competitors and to help introduce new paddlers to the sport, we erect slalom poles over the pool on the second Sunday of every month - come along and try for yourself! There is still space for general practise too!
On the last Sunday of every month, our resident Canoe Polo players take over the main section of the pool. This is the perfect time to get newcomers involved. All equipment is provided and there are always more experienced players eager to introduce others to this fast paced and exciting form of paddlesport. As always, there is still space for general practise during these sessions!
What do I need and where do I go?
On arrival at the pool, just go through the main entrance to the changing rooms. We would request that you do not enter the changing rooms until around 8.10pm to allow the swimming club to clear them.
You only need a swimming costume/shorts and a t-shirt if you wish although you are welcome to bring any clean equipment of your own.
Once changed simply come poolside and speak to one of the existing members around the 'beach' area who will point you in the direction of one of the coaches and/or committee members.
You can't miss us!
